Christmas relief

Well I hope everyone had a good Christmas? I certainly did and have enjoyed spending quality time with my family.

Now Christmas is over I have really looked forward to making a non-Christmassy card, so whilst it was all quiet in the house I took the opportunity to have an hour in my craft room and managed to produce this card

I made a large white frame and put this onto apiece of pretty paper cut to an 18 inch square

Next I made a 14 inch frame from a co-ordinating piece of paper

Using a Tonic Verso corner die I cut it out twice using white card stock covered in 'Stick It' so that I could add glitter and create some sparkle

I layered all these elements up - raising the smaller frame using foam pads cut in half (length ways) so that they wouldn't show.

Tip: Use plenty of foam pads as you don't want the frame to sag once the card is assembled

Once layered up I added a flat backed embellishment and piece of ribbon in the centre, some pre-bought and hand made flowers (using Spellbinders Shapeabilities Spiral Blossoms die) around two corners and then added some pearls to the other corners using Tonic Nuvo Crystal drops.

I hope you like this card? It certainly makes a nice change and welcome relief from snowflakes and Christmas trees

Happy Crafting

Corrine
